Target Name: Mars Is a satellite of: Sol (our sun) Mission: Phoenix Spacecraft: Phoenix Lander Instrument: Surface Stereo Imager (SSI) Product Size: 5100 x 1924 pixels (width x height) Produced By: University of Arizona Full-Res TIFF: PIA11044.tif (29.44 MB) Full-Res JPEG: PIA11044.jpg (864.9 kB) Click on the image above to download a moderately sized image in JPEG format (possibly reduced in size from original) Original Caption Released with Image: This mosaic of images taken by NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander's Surface Stereo Imager shows Phoenix's workspace, informally named "Wonderland," with the major trenches and features that have been informally named as of Sol 84 (August 19, 2008), the 84th Martian day after landing.

The workspace is on the north side of the lander.

The Phoenix Mission is led by the University of Arizona, Tucson, on behalf of NASA. Project management of the mission is by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif. Spacecraft development is by Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Denver.
