En esta pintura al óleo sobre tela, se representa al General Orozimbo Barbosa Puga con su uniforme de gala con los distintivos de General de División, bicornio y casaca bordada de acuerdo a la Ordenanza de 1827. Lleva en su pecho las condecoraciones de la Guerra del Pacífico. Orozimbo Barbosa Puga (* Chillán, Región del Biobío, Chile 1838 - † Placilla (Valparaíso), Región de Valparaíso, Chile 28 de agosto de 1891) fue un militar chileno, de destacada participación en las campañas de reconquista de la Araucanía, la Guerra del Pacífico y la revolución de 1891.
