Description
English: Palaeoenvironmental reconstruction of the South American Pleistocene equids. The function of the prehensile upper lip of hippidiforms during foraging is depicted as Hippidion principale (formerly Onohippidium munizi) in the foreground (and in detail), while the grazer Equus neogeus is shown in the background.
