อักษรพระปรมาภิไธย ภ.ป.ร. ประดิษฐานภายใต้พระมหาพิชัยมงกุฎ ซึ่งมีพระอุณาโลมประดิษฐานอยู่ภายใน ส่วนยอดของพระมหาพิชัยมงกุฎมีพระรัศมีโดยรอบ ด้านล่างมีรูปพญานาคสีเขียวคู่หนึ่งพันอยู่รอบแพรแถบพื้นสีน้ำเงินเข้มปลายม้วนสะบัดเข้าทั้งสองข้าง กลางแถบมีตัวอักษรสีเหลืองคำว่า “โรงพยาบาลภูมิพลอดุลยเดช”

  • อักษรพระปรมาภิไธย ภ.ป.ร. หมายถึง พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดช บรมนาถบพิตร
  • รูปอุณาโลม หมายถึง ความมีสิริและสวัสดิมงคล
  • พระมหาพิชัยมงกุฎ เป็นพระราชสัญลักษณ์แสดงความเป็นสมเด็จพระมหากษัตริยาธิราชเจ้า
  • คำว่า "โรงพยาบาลภูมิพลอดุลยเดช" เป็นชื่อโรงพยาบาล กรมแพทย์ทหารอากาศ
  • พญานาคสีเขียวคู่หนึ่งพันอยู่รอบแถบแพรของโรงพยาบาล เป็นสัญลักษณ์ทางการแพทย์
