Summary

Description
English: "The Victims" by Andrew O'Connor, in Merrion Square in Dublin. Part of an unrealized war memorial for Washington, DC. O'Connor worked on the project until at least 1931, and the two female figures were presented to the Dublin Municipal Gallery (now Dublin City Gallery) in 1938. After O'Connor died in 1941, the male victim figure was sent by his family to the gallery in 1947. It was moved to Merrion Square in 1976.[1]
