Summary

Description
English: A strange suburban new town, platted in the 1960s (as Nun's Island, of course) along the lines of Columbia and other new towns but largely developed very recently, with the attendant glass balconies, etc. The original developer was Metropolitan Structures with Mies and Tigerman as consulting architects, no less -- the same team responsible for Illinois Center.
