Summary

Description
English: Normansfield Hospital The near derelict former hospital building where Doctor Langdon Down conducted the pioneering research into the syndrome which is now known as Down's Syndrome. On the right of the picture is the restored Victorian theatre built by Dr Langdon Down for the use of the patients. To the left the former hospital workshops which have re-developed as social housing.
