Description
English: Newell Houston Ensley (1852-1888) was born in Nashville on August 23, 1852, the son of George and Clara Ensley. In June, 1878, he was graduated from Roger Williams University in Nashville and entered Newton (Mass.) Theological Seminary. He began teaching rhetoric, Hebrew and science at Howard University, and later transferred to Alcorn University. He died ca. 1888.
