Description

A summer saturday express DMU train which did not stop at Chelmsford. Where it came from I don't know. Perhaps it was a Liverpool Street- Lowestoft or Yarmouth South Town service? The level crossing has long since gone, replaced by a link road to the right of the train from White Hart Lane. Several cottages were located just on the Springfield side of the crossing, to the left of the train. A speeding train snapped with a juvenile 1/100 camera. Not recommended.

One can see the pale blue squares on the front to indicated coupling requirements to other cars.
