Description
English: A module containing thyristors for the Nelson River Bipole. The rating of the module is 2000 A. The thyristors are the white disks at the back of the module. Transparent plastic tubes carry cooling water through the heat sinks. Capacitors in the module assist with commutation and protect against transient voltages.
