This drawing shows hi Koshare clown in typical spontaneous actions, Mr. David's most recognized drawing is of this Kohare, No other painting of his ties him directly to the whimsical clownWhen one thinks of the Koshare it is synonymous with his name. David speaks of his culture through the drawings of his clowns.

I have followed Neil David's art contributions and this is the only one I have seen that presents the artist with his signature caricature. Mr. David is about 70 years old and has declined making any drawings as this one.

Mr. David and I have collaborated in the past on presenting his work and he looks forward to this publication.
Other information This drawing was the result of a biographical article on Neil David in Native Artists Magazine where Neil David was called the Hopis' Norman Rockwell. This title has been widely accepted by the American Indian collectors and recognized in many writings on Mr. David.
