Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	Shows the artists talents as well as humor in his art where after being called and write about as the Hopis' Norman Rockwell he created this self portratit drawing.His drawings and carvings of the Koshare clown are recognized in world-wide followers of American Indian art. This drawing shows hi Koshare clown in typical spontaneous actions, Mr. David's most recognized drawing is of this Kohare, No other painting of his ties him directly to the whimsical clownWhen one thinks of the Koshare it is synonymous with his name. David speaks of his culture through the drawings of his clowns.
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	I have followed Neil David's art contributions and this is the only one I have seen that presents the artist with his signature caricature. Mr. David is about 70 years old and has declined making any drawings as this one.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	This image summarizes the life work of Neil David and as stated in the article it was the signature piece at the wheelwright Museum exhibit of American Indian Self-Portraits. This summarizes Neil David's life-long contributions in art
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2)	I have discussed the article and use of the image before submitting to Wikipedia with Mr. David and presented my writing of the article to Mr. David along with the image of his work he has given full approval of both. Mr. David and I have collaborated in the past on presenting his work and he looks forward to this publication.
Other information	This drawing was the result of a biographical article on Neil David in Native Artists Magazine where Neil David was called the Hopis' Norman Rockwell. This title has been widely accepted by the American Indian collectors and recognized in many writings on Mr. David.
