Description 060323-N-3946H-042 Yokosuka, Japan (March 23, 2006) - Seaman Apprentice Markie Moon uses a needle-gun to remove old paint and corrosion aboard the conventionally-powered aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Kitty Hawk is currently conducting a Ship's Restricted Availability (SRA). SRA is an intensive maintenance period designed to help keep the ship combat ready. Currently in port, Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as part of the U.S. Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
