English: Set of Daura Suruwal, national Nepali men’s dress, presented to Sir Edmund Hillary when he was made an honorary citizen of Nepal in 2003 The set includes- daura (also called labeda) - loose double-breasted wrap shirt, flaps fastened by ties; loose-weave slub (homespun) cotton; beige-brown; knee length; side vents suruwal (pajamas) - cotton pants, very loose at waist, fastened by drawstring, legs tapering to tight fit at ankle; loose-weave slub (homespun) cotton; beige-brown ista coat (ista kot)- long-line sleeveless vest (waistcoat); black cotton, lined; revere collar; two buttons with hand-stitched buttonholes; three single-welt pockets, one on left breast, one at each hip; side vents dhaka topi colourful geometric-pattern cap
