Description
National New Yorker, a.k.a. Memphis Minnie Model, 1939
Always in style in an increasingly crowded market of electric
instruments, National paid close attention to visual trends as a way to
large, recognizable, black and white peghead, balanced with an
opposite, but equally identifiable, color-schemed pickguard. With its
boldly bound body and no "F" holes, this guitar's deco styling was
favorite player. Contained within the small black box attached to the
bridge is the new-for-1936 pickup unit.
