Description
English: Picture of the National Negro Opera Company House located at 7101 Apple Street in the Homewood West neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on August 7, 2010. This Queen Anne Style house was built in the late 1800s, and was the home of Mary Cardwell Dawson, who founded the National Negro Opera Company in 1941, the first African American opera company in the United States. The house is on the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations.
