Summary

Description
English: Building goods locomotive 5801, Eveleigh Workshops, Redfern, Sydney, 1949. R. Bean Class leader of New South Wales Government Railways & Tramways 58 class goods locomotive. Twenty-five of these large steam locomotives were planned but only 13 were built as they were not as successful as the previous 57 class on which they were based and they were phased out as diesel came in.
