Description
Français : Kouros funéraire en marbre parien, trouvé dans le Mésogée, en Attique. La statue surmontait la tombe d'un jeune aristocrate athénien, dont le nom est inscrit sur la base. Le rendu plastique des muscles, le mouvement des bras et la vigueur générale de la statue la place à la fin de la série des kouroi : il s'agit d'une œuvre clef dans le développement de la sculpture, marquant la transition entre la fin de l'époque archaïque et l'époque classique.
