To add to the in-universe and real-world discussion of the Mysteron "rings", a key aspect of this fictional alien species, in the Mysteron article. The rings are a subject of critical commentary in the article and their appearance and effect are difficult to convey adequately to the reader through text alone; thus, inclusion of this image significantly increases the reader's understanding of the topic. Given that the Mysterons themselves are rarely seen, the image also serves to visually identify a fictional species that the reader would have trouble picturing mentally. |
