Summary

Description
English: Coat of arms of Moldavia as shown in Ulrich von Richental's Armorial, 1420-1430. In 1420, Ulrich von Richenthal (1360-1437) placed in his handwritten Chronicle of the Cathedral of Constance (Chronik des Konstanzer Koncils, published in 1862 and 1891) the fictitious coats of arms of "Basarabia" (as Wallachia was called in the Middle Ages after the Basarab dynasty) and Wallachia with the image of black people, which may be associated with a name for the ancestors of the Romanians that existed at that time, Morovlahs (black Vlachs).
