English: Miyan Himmat Khan Kalawant playing a bin, page from the Tasrih al-aqvam. Possibly by Ghulam Ali Khan. Miyan Himmat Khan Kalawant was the last in a line of hereditary musicians in his family serving the Mughal emperors. He served Akbar Shah (who reigned 1806-1837).
