Summary

Description
English: The minimum-upset ranking for men's beach volleyball at the 2016 Olympics, pool F. Each arrow is directed from the losing team to the winning team in each match, and is labeled with the scores of the match. For instance, the label "21-16 21-16" in the upper left red arrow indicates that, for the USA-QAT match, the USA team won both the first and second sets of the match by a score of 21 points to 16 points. Each match is played until the winner of two out of three sets is determined; all sets must be won by at least two points, with the first two sets of a match played until at least 21 points, and the third set (if played) until at least 15 points. The arrows are colored blue to indicate an outcome consistent with the ranking, and red to indicate an upset (a better-ranked team losing to a worse-ranked team). With the ranking shown, only one match is an upset, the one in which USA beat QAT. The actual ranking used in the Olympics placed ESP ahead of QAT on set ratio, causing their match to be ranked as another upset.
