Blue line: São João Basin Environmental Protection Area (category V (IUCN) - Protected Landscape/Seascape)
Red line: Poço das Antas Biological Reserve (category Ia (IUCN) - Strict Nature Reserve)
Yellow line: União Biological Reserve (category Ia (IUCN) - Strict Nature Reserve)

The conservation units limits were delineated by Miguelrangeljr, using Corel Draw X6, based on the Associação Mico-Leão-Dourado. São João basin is the most important region for the golden lion tamarin conservation.
