English: Austrian journalist and later socialist politican Max Winter (1870-1937) dressed as "down-and-out" for his reportage about so-called "Strotter" (people who looked, in those years, for things like bones, fat and money to just survive) which he did in 1902 for the socialist newspaper "Wiener Arbeiterzeitung"
