Summary

Description
English: The Soviet Union had limited numbered (highway) routes. In 1960 a list of 37 numbered routes was decreed. In 1982 a classification system was introduced with M, A and R designations, leading to much more numbered roads. Between 1960 and 1982 five routes were assigned to the Caucasus region of the USSR shown in this map.
