Détail d'un médailler en laque de Coromandel Paris, style Régence, vers 1730 Collection de Joseph Pellerin (1684-1782) acquis pour le Cabinet du roi en 1784 Inv.55.701

Les panneaux des portes sont découpés dans des paravents chinois dits en "laque de Coromandel", nom de la côte de l'Inde où les négociants de la Compagnie des Indes achetaient ces objets aux chinois pour les importer en France. L'ensemble est décoré de bronzes dorés.
