Français : Titulature : Dans un cartouche à l'exergue : The Sovereign of the seas et 1637 dans un cartouche. Le Souverain des mers voguant à gauche, à pleine voile.


Commentaire : Cette médaille commémore le premier festival européen de course internationale de Yacht. Yacht est un mot d'origine hollandaise qui signifie pourchasser ou poursuivre. Au départ les Yachts sont des petits navires de guerre très rapides faits pour la Course (chasse des bateaux ennemis). La première régate avait eu lieu en Angleterre en 1661. La discipline est devenu sport olympique aux Jeux de Paris en 1900. En 1907 est créé l'International Yacht Racing Union (IYRU). Le graveur a choisi le plus prestigieux des navires anglais, mais aussi le plus lourd pour illustrer une course de bateaux à voile de Yacht qui sont en général des bâteaux légers et rapides
