| Description |
English: London United bus VA43 (reg. R943 YOV), a 1998 Volvo Olympian double-decker with Alexander RH bodywork, pictured in Hounslow, operating London Buses route 281, for which it wears route branding towards the rear of the bus. It's pictured here in excellent condition, having just entered service two months previously, when 25 such vehicles were introduced to the 281 (VA32-54), based out of Fulwell garage. It worked in London until November 2005, becoming surplus when Transport for London started specifying low floor buses. It worked for another two years in Manchester with UK North, numbered 226, before being exported to Dualway Coaches of Rathcoole in the Republic of Ireland, re-registered 98-D-77722. |
