Description Also known as "Silicon Valley’s most likely target in the event of a Soviet nuclear attack." Known to Lockheed employees (with high enough security clearances) as the Sunnyvale Air Force Station, and it kept track of military satellites. In 1983 the Air Force admitted its ability to keep track of the government's military and intelligence satellites was "dependent on the single satellite control facility (SCF) located at Sunnyvale, California."
