Summary

Description
English: Little Hautbois Hall Viewed from the public footpath which here runs parallel with the River Bure. Little Hautbois Hall was built in the reign of King Edward VI in 1553, presumably erected on the site of an older manor house. The Hall has been converted to a private residence. The River Bure rises near Melton Constable, 18 kilometres miles upstream of Aylsham, which was the original head of navigation. It flows into the North Sea by Breydon Water near Gorleston, further to the southeast. A special type of trading wherry, called the Bure wherry, was used on this river.
