Summary

Description
English: This is a photograph of a brain nerve cell (neuron) taken with a microscope using a 100X oil-immersion objective. The arrow indicates a cluster of lipofuscin particles in the cytoplasm. The tissue was embedded in plastic, cut at a thickness of 2 microns, and stained with the dye toluidine blue. The bar at the lower right indicates a distance of 10 microns (0.01 millimeters).
