Summary

Description
English: road between Leitza and Berasategi, border between Navarre and Gipuzkoa; the site where two memorial stones to Joaquín Muruzabal, considered the first fallen requeté of the Spanish Civil War, used to stand. The first one, erected in 1937 and photgraphed here, was destroyed by unknown perpetrators in late 1990s; the copy, erected shortly afterwards, was destroyed in the early 21st century. The corpse of Muruzabal has been moved to his native San Martin de Unx on May 19, 1963
