Title
Le palais des produits alimentaires
Description
The Palais des produits alimentaires was designed by the architect Raulin, and was dedicated to food products. Its most impressive façade was on the banks of the Seine, as shown in the print. It is reminiscent of Venetian architecture, but it integrates architectural elements from many other traditions as well (such as the Renaissance style of its windows). The building standing on the left (on the foreground of the image) is the Portuguese Pavilion.
