Description
Cross section of the Palais des arts libéraux, designed by Formigé. The Palais housed exhibits about teaching, education, music, drawing, and medicine. It also had sections about geography, instruments of measure, and the "histoire rétrospective du travail", which was an exhibit tracing the history of work. The hot air balloon under the dome was part of the exhibit on the "Histoire de l'aérostation", which dealt with the many technological attempts to travel above ground.
