Summary

Description
English: The law office of Patrick Henry is the last original building at Red Hill Plantation, Henry's last Virginia home, located near Brookneal, Virginia, in Charlotte County. All other buildings on the site are reconstructions. The law office was Henry's last legal office. Revolutionary War patriot and later Virginia Governor Henry occupied Red Hill from 1794 until 1799, the year in which he died. The original law office at Red Hill was partially restored when it was combined with a mid-nineteenth century law office. In 1978 Red Hill was recognized by the U.S. Department of the Interior as a national landmark. In 1986 the U.S. Congress designated the home a National Memorial to Patrick Henry.
