Summary

Description LNWR Royal Dining Saloon No.76 in LNWR plum & spilt milk livery; designed by C A Park of the LNWR and built at Wolverton, 1900. It was built as a 65'6" Kitchen First Diner, LNWR Diagram 29 for general service although in the event was placed in West Coast Joint Stock as their No.200 (and probably rediagrammed but diagram not known). It was exhibited at the Paris Exhibition of 1900. In about 1911-12, it was placed in LNWR general service and then renumbered No.5200 but soon afterwards it was completely refitted for the Royal Train. The LMS replaced the LNWR underframe and 12-wheel bogies with frames and 12-wheel bogies of it's own design. At the National Railway Museum York, 09/10.
