Description
English: Depiction of the Emperor Napoleon III and the Empress Eugénie just after arriving for lunch at the house of Count-Senator Auguste Mimerel. The senator, dressed in his ornate official costume, is addressing the emperor. His son, Édouard (1812-1889) and his grandson Armand (1839-1889) are behind him, holding hands. Auguste Mimerel's wife, Joséphine, is standing behind the empress, who is seated. Julie-Émilie, Armand's wife, is behind her small daughter Laure, who is presenting a gift to the empress.
