Summary

Description
English: Louvre, Paris: The south facade of the eastern 5-bay pavilion of the Aile de la Grande Galerie (on the left) and the south facade of the Aile de la Petite Galerie (on the right), as they appeared prior to the modifications by Louis Le Vau after the February 1661 fire which heavily damaged the Petite Gallery. Le Vau's modifications included the addition of another storey to the 5-bay pavilion. According to Mauban, this print does not appear in ordinary editions of Marot's L'architecture françoise.
