Summary

Description
English: Knott End Café and Coast Guard Station Café in the centre and Coast Guards to the right. The café is the much enlarged and altered station terminus of the Garstang to Knott End railway, a problem dogged railway venture begun in 1864. It wasn't until 1904 that the 4½ miles from Pilling to Knott End were finally completed. The last passenger train left on 29th March 1930 although freight traffic continued until 1950.
