English: Kneeling female figurine from the Tomb of the King of Chu Beidong Mountain Xuzhou Jiangsu Western han 2nd century BCE. This high-ranking court lady wears a bird-tail bun, a fashionable hairstyle for court ladies during the Han Period. She kneels with her legs folded under her hip, the typical sitting posture during the Han dynasty. Interior furniture did not include high desks or chairs.
