Summary

Description Stained glass in Church of St Thomas the Apostle, Killinghall, North Yorkshire, England. Church completed in 1880, by architect William Swinden Barber. A three-light window on the south aisle, illustrating Matthew 4.24: "And they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments." The Brass strip-plaque below says, "In memory of William Cautley born Sept 1827 died July 12th 1891." This was William Clapham Cautley who died aged 63 years. The subject of the window is appropriate because William Cautley was a doctor of obstetrics.
