Summary

Description
English: Kilchoman Cross A splendid medieval [14th/15thC] cross in Kilchoman churchyard. The cross depicts the Crucifixion with Mary, angels and saints. Two figures carved below represent Thomas, who had the cross erected, and his father Patrick, the doctor, and most likely the physician to the Lord of the Isles. At the base of the cross are four hollows, one of which contains a stone. Any woman who turns this stone is said to be more likely to give birth to a boy.
