Description
English: aerial photo of the "Kieler Förde", Kiel, Germany.
Deutsch: Luftaufnahme der "Kieler Förde", Kiel, Deutschland. Bildbereich: im Wesentlichen die Außenförde, Blickrichtung nach Norden zur Ostsee; im Vordergrund die Portalkräne von HDW (Werft); Aufnahme 2003.
  • Westufer (links): Gebäude der Landesregierung Schleswig-Holsteins und alter Olympiahafen (Olympische Segelwettbewerbe 1936) mit einer Anzahl Großsegler, die traditionell während der Kieler Woche dort festmachen und z.T. auch besichtigt werden können; die sich links dahinter erstreckende Hafeneinbuchtung führt zum Nord-Ostsee-Kanal. Hinter der nördlichsten ("obersten") Landzunge, die sich von Westen (von links) ins Bild schiebt, liegt in Kiel-Schilksee der neuere Olympiahafen (Olympische Segelwettbewerbe von 1972).
  • Ostufer (rechts): Grünzüge der kleineren Orte Mönkeberg, Kitzeberg, Heikendorf, und Möltenort. Am oberen rechten Bildrand ist in der Höhe der Horizontlinie das Marine-Ehrenmal Laboe zu erkennen, dessen oberste Aussichtsplattform mit 95m üb. NN (üb. dem Meeresspiegel) einen weiten Blick nach Süden in die Kieler Förde, nach Westen auf das Seglerzentrum in Schilksee, nach Osten über die Küstenlandschaft als auch nach Norden über die Ostsee bis zu den südlichen dänischen Inseln gestattet.
