English: The reconstruction of the old chapel on Hermannsplatz, Berndorf´, Lower Austria. The name is Kapelle bei der tausendjährigen Linde, or Lindenkapelle (Chapel at the thousand year old lime tree, or Lime tree chapel), was built in 1996/97 near to its original location. It still is a cultural heritage monument. Deutsch: Die Kapelle bei der tausendjährigen Linde am Hermannsplatz, auch Lindenkapelle genannt, war ein altes Wahrzeichen Berndorfs. Ursprünglich 1879 als Leicheneinsegnungskapelle am heutigen Karl-Kislinger-Platz errichtet, wurde die Holzkapelle nach dem Bau der Marienkirche 1883 auf den Hermannsplatz verbracht, wo sie bis 1958 stand, ehe sie dem Verkehr weichen musste. 1996/97 wurde die Kapelle in der Nähe ihres ursprünglichen Standplatzes am Hermannsplatz nach alten Fotos rekonstruiert.
Die Kapelle steht unter Denkmalschutz.
