Summary

Description A kamikaze aircraft is photographed diving on the Casablanca-class escort carrier USS Petrof Bay (CVE-80) on 26 October 1944, during the Battle of Leyte Gulf. The kamikaze's tail and part of its right wing have been shot off by anti-aircraft fire, causing it to miss.
