Instead of building "temples", Tzu Chi builds "halls". The objective of constructing the Jing-Si Hall is to establish a spiritual fortress to propagate Buddha's teachings. It is hoped that both the exterior and interior designs of the Hall will be able to spread the silent Dharma by enabling one to truly see and feel Buddha's teachings and Tzu Chi culture upon entering this Hall. Thus, the Jing-Si Hall is subtly and eternally disseminating the wholesome teachings of the Buddha and the virtues of the Tzu Chi world.
