Description
English: This is an Important historical place in Pondicherry. On October 18, 1954, an election was conducted for to decide whether the French Indian places merge with India or not. Representatives from Pondicherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yenam came and voted in the election in the presence of India and French Government Official Representatives. Overall 178 Representatives Voted. Out of 178 Votes, 170 votes supported Pondicherry will emerge with India.
