Juli 1876 in Bonn) auf dem Alten Friedhof Bonn; Breidenstein studierte Jura in Berlin und Philologie in Heidelberg, dort begann er (unter dem Einfluss des Juristen und Musikliebhabers Thibaut), sich mit Musiktheorie zu beschäftigen; er zog 1823 nach Bonn und wurde zum Universitätsmusikdirektor, später zum Professor der Musik ernannt (er hatte sich bereits als Theoretiker, Kritiker und Komponist hervorgetan); Breidenstein war Präsident des Comités für Beethovens Monument; Quelle (zu Küppers): Aufsatz des Bonner Stadtbaurats von Noël: Der Friedhof vor dem Sterntore in Bonn in den Rheinischen Geschichtsblättern (8.
