Summary

Description
English: The coat of arms of Josiah Vavasseur was mentioned in The Genealogical Magazine vol. IV, page 141-142 by A.C. Fox-Davies as an example of heraldy that might be criticized as unheraldic, because of the Vavasseur gun mounting that featured prominently in it. But Fox-Davies found it fitting in the context. This illustration was uploaded from archive.org in the jp2 format and cropped to png.
