Description
English: This panorama of Jezero crater on Mars concatenates five images subsequently acquired by the left navigation camera on March 29, 2021 at the local mean solar time between 16:20:08 and 16:21:07, soon after NASA’s Ingenuity Mars Helicopter was extended vertically into place after being rotated outward from its horizontal position on the belly of the Perseverance rover. Camera looks at north-east catching in its field of view the debris shield which protected Ingenuity helicopter during landing and was released and dropped on March 21, 2021 (30th sol of the mission) Cropping black borders and color processing applied. NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover acquired these images using its left navigation camera (Navcam). The camera is located high on the rover’s mast and aids in driving.
