Summary

Description
English: This map shows exposures of geologically young (Miocene or later) volcanic rock along the New Mexico segment of the Jemez Lineament. The Jemez Lineament is a hydrous subduction scar where a subduction zone was shut down by the Yavapai and Mazatzal orogenies ~1.7 billion years ago. Derived from: Geologic Map of New Mexico, New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, 2003, Scale 1:500,000. https://geoinfo.nmt.edu/publications/maps/geologic/state/home.cfml
